A People Powered Project
From start to finish has been a communal effort. A testament to the power of real co-creation. It may not be the quicker route - but itās certainly the most rewarding.
āŖ From hosting collective imagination sessions back in April (to figure out what a Quest in printed form would even look like)
āŖ To posting call outs for writing submissions.
āŖ To a twenty-eight strong (and counting) list of contributors across research, design thinking, writing, design and productionā¦
We did that.
It only made sense to extend the community-powered element to fundingā¦
In a year of endless disappointing institutional funding rejections - the people came through and have raised close Ā£13,000 to make this project a reality!
To know that over 200 people will have their copies of our new book & card deck land on their door step in a few months time is truly rejuvenating.
As creative people, living non-linear creative lives - we have to get really really good at appreciating the small, wonky-shaped wins. Finding the joy in receiving a great piece of feedback, being satisfied with a great sentence you crafted or simply just showing up consistently and creatively.
If we wait for the big wins to feel like we are making progressā¦ we will go insane. And trust me I have.
So when a BIG WIN like this comes alongā¦ you better enjoy it!!! These are rare and precious moments.
