Sam here 👋 Spring has arrived! A season for hope, renewal, emergence and cultivating the seeds of new projects. Today I’m excited to share one (rather ambitious) part of what we’re focusing on in 2024…
If you’ve been reading the last few issues you will know that Creative Quests is in a season of integration and ‘holding our breath’ following 3 epic years of collective adventures in curiosity.
Our new collaborative project is our first exploratory step toward evolving Creative Quests into a multifaceted home for people looking to explore the edges of their curiosity and creative potential.
And we’re inviting you to help shape what it becomes over two upcoming events…
👁️🗨️ Introducing: The Quester Almanac
an evolving archive of ways to creatively explore and perceive the world
(+ our debut community-powered publication!)
We are imagining what a growing archive of our previous Quest themes could look like. Both physically and digitally.
💭 Imagine... part field guide, part interactive digital archive, part magazine, part manifesto, part who-knows?! Diving into our first 12 Quest themes. Setting up a framework to add to with future Quests.
🌀 Each themed chapter packed with… creative challenges to fuel real world exploration, personal essays, illuminations, original art, soundtracks - all brought to life by our Creative Quests community.
🎨 Help us shape the project… To explore the possibilities of what The Quester Almanac could look like (both physically and digitally)… we will be hosting x2 Almanac Imagination Wanders (virtually) in the coming weeks and we'd love you to join us.
💛 These sessions are open to all.
However we highly encourage past Questers to come through so we can reconnect :)

Our thinking
Over the course of the last three years we have gathered a vast array of people to creatively explore a wide selection of topics. Questers all around the world have invited these themes into their lives in search of new pathways, ideas and ways of living.
Discoveries have been discovered, inspiration unearthed, connections made, personal projects born… but for the most part - the ‘output’ of these Quests has lived on in the different ways their participants now perceive their creativity and the world.
(Is there a more beautiful outcome than this? I don’t think so.)
However - Two learnings have come through loud and clear:
the desire our community has to collectively make something with fellow Questers. Something greater than the sum of our individual parts.
the need for a place to share the Quest magic further - so we can encourage many more people to explore the edges of their creativity and curiosity.
The Quester Almanac (which is still a working title) is our process of figuring these things out.
🌱 What happens after these sessions?
After these sessions our core team (formal intros to them coming soon!) will be synthesising the imaginings and putting a plan of action together to bring each of the 12 Chapters to life (in collaboration with Questers) throughout this year. We are tentatively aiming to release whatever the Quester Almanac becomes at the end of 2024.
