Dear Questers,
Sam here 👋
Thank you to all who responded to the competition call in the last newsletter! I loved reading your ‘back to school’ creative intentions in the comments here and on Instagram.
As promised I’ve picked three winners (at random) to receive some prototype packs of our Five Pathways prompt cards (as used at Latitude Festival this Summer).
🎉 Congrats to: Melanie Knight, Annie Bell, Yadira Capaz - I’ll be in touch!
FYI… my creative intention between now and December is to launch the Kickstarter for our debut book! We are creeping closer to it being a reality and I can’t wait to share what we’ve been making for you.
Our new Quester Exchange is here!
The Quester Exchange is our free, monthly, community-led workshop series where different Questers share their talents and passions with us.
Wild Art Journaling with Moyra Scott
🗓️ Tuesday 17th Sep
⏰ 5-6pm BST / 12-1pm EST
❤️ Free virtual session
Moyra Scott is a believer in creative magic. An artist, facilitator, coach and creative adventurer.
She believes that art and creative self expression are not luxuries but a fundamental human need, crucial to the wellbeing of self and society.
She is a walker between the worlds of magic and logic: hosting art retreats, running the Wild Artists Club and also delivering business coaching workshops. She’s delivered workshops for the United Nations, Reuters, King’s College London, Cambridge University and Channel 4.
Moyra is also the inventor of Wild Art Journaling…
What is Wild Art Journaling?
A creative process that unlocks and unblocks creative flow with a combination of journaling, mediation and working in layers of collage and paint, making space for your inner artist to come out and play, (re)connecting you to your creative magic.
It works for the novice or the experienced artist alike as a way to; get started, find inspiration, explore or get unstuck.
Moyra will guide our community through every step of the process in this workshop. I have done one of Moyra’s Wild Art Journaling workshops before - and they are brilliant! Completely liberating, fun, and it produces pleasantly surprising results!
What to bring the session
sturdy paper or sketchbook
Biro / pen / pencil - to write with
Pritt stick or glue stick
hairdryer (for drying layers quickly!)
acrylic paints various colours - whatever you have
white gesso if you have it, white acrylic paint works just as well
old magazines / collage material.
Bring what you have and see how it goes. Don’t let perfection be your enemy.
