Tokyo Disneyland, Japan - Japanese culture combined with Disney magic makes this a place of wonder and utter joy. The infectious energy of the Japanese visitors who go en-masse wearing group fancy dress is a spectacle in itself... Think groups of 20 friends all dressed as the Aliens from Toy Story. Amazing scenes!

Yakushoma National Park, Japan - the way the light breaks through the ancient trees and catches on the dew drenched mosses that cushion this park is an absolute wonder of the world.

RSPB Rainham Marshes, Essex - on the banks of the Thames Estuary, this former wasteland is a magical haven for wildlife. For a location that's fairly unremarkable on the outskirts of London, it's a sanctuary where you can marvel at nature in it's glory.

1.

The Aiguille de Midi

Chamonix, France

The platform at 3,800m above sea level gives you a full view of Mont Blanc and the surrounding Alps. On a good day, you can see all the way to the Matterhorn in the distance. When you stand there, everything you ever wanted to do feels possible and the world feels like a place truly filled with magic and wonder.

Hostería Chamanapamba

Baños, Ecuador

This feels straight out a fairytale. Run by two brothers, the sons of the couple who built the place, it's nestled up a steep and narrow pathway and unveils itself through the trees. At night, all you hear are the nearby waterfalls and during the day, you're cocooned in green, tucked up in the hills and far from the modern day life.
